How much do you want to spend? Do you want to buy a pre-made one or build your own?

now if your looking for a CAI (Cold Air Intake) you'll need to get that custom made. if your looking for a SRI(Short Ram Intake) you can get that custom made or some people have taken one for a civic from like autozone and just cut off a few inches to make it short enough. i plan on doing that here pretty soon. actually since i forgot about that i'll probably but it tomorrow.

oh and they make weapon-r intakes for the lanos too. a little too pricey to me for a peice of tube and a cone filter.

There's also Weapon-R intakes specifically designed for Lanos on eBay or on their website. They're quite expensive though. Or you might want to buy one on eBay that looks similar to what you need.

I just wanted to modify it to give it a little more boost, not looking into spending that muc money on it but in the ball park of 100 dollars + or - 25 dollars.

which will give me a more noticable difference in power the CAI or the SRI?

the CAI will give your the most but that'll cost more than $100 to get custom made unless you know someone. the SRI will cost less than that depending on the route you go such as what kind of cone filter and where you get the piping from.

lanos2001 is right, a SRI from a Honda Civic (older model, still using B16), mine is actually for a Civic Del Sol, fits perfectly if you cut off ~3-4 inches (you will have to measure yourself). Helps with the power, but it is the sound of the engine that makes it worth it,a lot beefier. I would have opted for the full length intake that goes down to my fog light, but I have driven through so much floodwater this year, that it would have been to dangerous. I would have had to get the bypass valve if I submerge it, but with that, the price would have been much higher but the performance would be the same.

So, options:

1. Cut Civic SRI, $50.00, kit includes everything.

2. Get actual SRI for Daewoo Lanos, $100-$200 depending on company.

3. Go to exhaust shop and get a full ram air intake pipe bent to your specifications, $50.00 plus filter and fittings $30.00 so total $80.00

There are many options, just choose the best one for you.

I will probably just get a civic one and cut it due to it being the cheapest thing for my solution, unless anyone really disagrees with doing this.

ABS Plastic? Not a good idea to use ABS as it absorbs heat. The $36 dollar one ain't bad, but it won't get you directly over the hole to the fender, you'll be a little short and pull air from the engine bay, but I'm sure that the way it is bent that it will fit.
