if i'm not mistaken i think he's talking about a specific type of exaust thats usually on trucks. i've seen it on the show TRUCKS on spike tv on sundays.

basically you have your usual exaust then you have a second shorter pipe coming out of it at some point right after the exaust manifold so when you hit a button it will switch to the shorter pipe. thus creating a shorter path for the exaust to escape. some how that gives a little extra horse power or kick if you will in open throttle.

if i'm wrong, sorry for the waste of space. :P

The exhaust valve routing thing is useless unless you have a loud engine or a really high horsepower engine, neither of which applys to us. The swithing solenoid is expensive, and unless less restrictive exhausts are illegal in Florida...which they aren't, I know, it is again a waste of time and money.

If you hate the sound of exhausts, don't go for it at all, and if you don't mind a bit louder growl, you can just get a muffler with a removable silencer tip, which brings the noise way down in decibles. The silencer tip is easier to install, a hell of a lot cheaper, and simpler than the electronic mechanism that changes flow.

Good Luck!
