Well the 2.0 drivetrain that I had waiting for me got sold out from under me. So now I'm left without a drivetrain.
I found a few others but the prices are outrageous. Cheapest I could find right now is $1500.
This really sucks as I just bought the service manuals with electrical books for both Nubira and Lanos.
What should I do now.
to 2.0 or not to 2.0...

you got 2 options:
1) find another 2.0.
2) sell the the service manuals.

well I did find another 2.0 however the price is not right.
I was getting the drivetrain for $500 from the place where my friend works. Supposedly they were holding it for me until the engine bay was ready. My friend called and left me a message at home that I needed to come down right away and get it or else his boss has a buyer in VA. I was at work and didn't get the message until 10pm that night. I was told not to worry about it being there but oh well.
I really REALLY had my heart set on doing the swap. I need the extra points at shows

Perhaps you should consider a 2.2L as another option.
Another way to go is to pick up the older C20GET 8V turbo as it will be an easy swap due to the fact that the engine mounts are in the same location.
Alternatively you could upgrade it to a 16V by using a Nubira or Leganza head...... or import a Coscast head from a C20XE (if you know where you can find a cheap 16V head)
$1000 to $1500 seems to be about the norm for the 2.0L and 2.2L
I picked up my 2.2L from South Dakota for about $1000 but it didn't have anything in the way of wiring or accessories.
The other engine I got (which Tom (360D) now has) was from Billings Montana and it was around $1100 with absolutely everything..... they even included the fuse box.
Alternatively you could buy the Hatchback Nubira from Debo890 and sell me your Lanos really cheap... which would make for an easy swap.... and his allready has everything set up for a 2.0L turbo.
You could grab the C20GET from a late nineties Sunbird GT Turbo or Pontiac Grand Am SE Turbo..... and make the best of the two engines.
The only problem is if the T20SED (Nubira) crank was damaged beyond repair since it has a different crank than the C20GET (GET doesn't have the reluctor wheel for the crank trigger )
Anyways.... it's just an idea

Shaun, now that I am starting to get back on my feet, I am going to go to Foreign Crash Cars this week (about 30 mins drive from my house). I was told my a local mechanic that they have some Daewoos in their yard. I will go and see what they have (if any) and try to get a good price on a Nubira drivetrain for you.
