What are the benefits of a bigger TB?

What are the benefits of putting a bigger TB?? what about the sensors on the TB, will they work fine with the stock engine managment or does it require modifications?

I'm sure you realize that the more air you can get into an engine, the more power you can make - a bigger TB is one of those small steps that can help accomplish that. I've had modified stock TB's on a couple previous cars, and they worked fine - no prob using the same sensors over. You will need a larger throttle plate of course to accomodate the larger TB bore after porting.

so you don't have to port the TB to make full use of it...right?

i mean if the point is making the largest path available for air so a simly larger TB will make things better but a ported bigger TB will be the best job to do... am i right?

I've used ported stock TB's just because they're a lot cheaper than buying a new larger one - unless you got a lead on one for a decent price!

I have a bbtb on my lanos its from dve but I bought it from blinkme he said it was about $280 for it shipped but anyways my sensors on it work fine
