alternator nut seized.

Post by azazel19 »

Time to change the acc belt squeels and loads of belt dust in the engine bay. Thought this would be an easy fix, it's a woo not on you life. Top bolt was easy as pie of course the bottom nut needs to be loosened to move the alternator to relieve tension it's frozen in place. Used pb blaster, a socket won't fit in the space a regular combo wrench is too short.

Bought some long handle offset box wrenches and stripped the nut. Then clamped on the vice grips and still nothing, I'm at a loss think I may have to get a dremel with a cut off wheel or a nut splitter and cut it off. Any thoughts or experiences?
