Adding to my constant barrage of questions. I don't know where the resonator lies. If it's near to where the muffler is supposed to be... it's almost straight piping to a "Muffler" looking thing about under where the transmission would be. (Not the actual gear box, but the actual "Shifter")
Is that the resonator. or is it that gay looking Wire basket thingy?

Thanks in Advance.

ok, the wire mesh looking thing is your flex pipe and you don't want to remove that. That allows for your engine to move with torque but not put stress on the exhaust pipes.

The next thing down the line would be you primary catalytic converter. Being that you live in PA, you want to keep that on there cuz of the new emmissions inspections.

Next down the line should be your exhaust resonator.

It might be necessary for the sound level... but it does not effect the emissions

I really hope they don't give me a hard time about having no resonator. I'm going on Friday or Saturday for Inspection & Emissions.

My friend said his exhaust had too much flow so he had to get one. But ... whether or not he actually got a resonator? I find it hard to believe.

and speaking of Exhaust pipes. I know i'm throwing alot of idea's out there. How hard would it be to get custom piping made (stainless steel) ... and maybe throw on the Sharkracing or HVE headers?

hard? well making em yourself whitout propper equipment/skill would be near impossible.

Getting em made will cost ya some cash... dno about prices over there over here i was once asked 1200euro for catback.. i still think he was trying to rip me off though lol and yust asked to know so never double checked somewhere else.

btw. To bad supersprint stopped there line  they once had headers+catback system but when i asked they recently stopped making em (so i was told)

Also HVE header will need some welding to fit you need to take the last part of your orignal tube right infront of cat including the exhaust spring(dno if this is correct word).
Dont know about how flat the connection from header to car is though

they do? alot of these gamma is gone from webby tbh i was sure they had a big bore throttle once :s (wich i freaking want) but i never trusted the page as it states 1.6 16V somewhere and if ya click it it turn into 1.5 and has even some 1.5 8v engines in list from other brands... so is it for a 1.6 16v lanos or a 1.5 8v lanos?

but you know what you order em and let me know lol :p (j/k)

This may have already been answered but i just got my exhaust redone(Magnaflow catback, Muffler and tip) at Waults. The mechanic ther told me that the resonator only helps with sound and has no effect on emmisions. My magnaflow already deepened the sound so he removed it. The resonator is the long cylender looking thing in the middle. waults can remove it for you for around $35US. They will also know exactly what it is. hope this helps.
