I'm thinking of jumping to Magnecor on the wires. Is there a real real difference? My cars apparently pretty powerful from what i hear. I don't have a "speed" govenor. I just want to know if it's a noticeable performance upgrade or i should just wait till they need replaced?
thanks

I don't think it's a major performance upgrade with a stock engine. Once you start to modify more, you'll get more of an increase for the higher quality plugs & wires.KnightWalace wrote:I'm thinking of jumping to Magnecor on the wires. well comming from the stock wires i would say yes... but magnecors vs good standerds i dno on a stock engine.
I went from the original wires to some copper core BERU ones... im happy and i defanily feel the difrence on lower RPM's.
My lanos is only from the rather powerfull ones far as i know cuase i also dont have that boost effect on 4500rpm but have a smooth line.
i would say replace em but if those magnecors are really needed? dno get some good aftermarket standerd ones.
btw. the stock wires SUCK.... im a mechanic in a deawoo garage believe me they suck ballz.... on a tacuma 1.6 (prolly not in US that moddel but ah well) wich is same engine as lanos 1.6 if i take off old wires (well 7000-15000km and they are busted) and put new ones on... if i spray water on the new ones the will INSTANTLY start firing everywere that how crap stock wires are
So again i would replace em... but dno prices for magnecors and as you stated somewere else you dont have that much money.. so i would maybe good whit a good aftermarcket brand that makes standerd wires (try copper cores though always better and maybe even silicon... but they will maybe be same price as magneors then dno)
