Newbie needs a new engine :)

Post by vikingfromhell »

Now its time to give my Aveo/Kalos some more HP, and since its only delivered in the 1150cc engine here in Norway, i seriously need some extra power...

Its a 2006 btw..

What engine could I fit in this car without it being too much of a hassel? :)

We put a 2.0L 8V turbo into the Aveo two years ago ( project SuperSwift on this site ).... it's on a megasquirt standalone engine management running 18PSI of boost... it's very fast and still running strong.

Here is the project link....

Given your in norway.... pick an Opel with an iron block engine and away you go.... these are Opel engines so you have complete compatibility for mounting to the gearbox and your stock mounts.

Personally.... I would look at the 1.6L turbo from a wrecked Corsa VXR.... it can produce significantly more power than a plain old naturally aspirated 2.0L without changing the weight too much.

Hmmm.... Norway..... well I don't know anybody there.... you could always talk to these guys in sweden for performance parts http://www.enem.se/
