Engine Question
A friend of mine has a daewoo lanos sport hatchback and am wondering since GM makes the cars what 4 cyl motors from GM will fit in to the car with little to no mods cause I was think maybe drop a 2.2 ecotech in there but am not for sure if it will work plz let me know what engines will fit into the lanos

Mainly the new Aveo is the daewoo lanos...... i believe any pontiac Le Mans and Subird 2.0L engines... as will i believe the C20 Family of Engines (Astra, Vauxhall, etc.). As i don't know how the setup of the Cavalier/Sunfire 2.2 Ecotech Engine is exactly... depending on the Mounts/amount of money your willing to drop into it... any conversion is possible... i mean.. i'm not saying you can exactly drop a RB26DETT engine in... but even a 4g63( Eclipse/Talon) ... V-Tec. VVTi(Celica)...
Almost Any 4 Cylinder will fit... just how much are you willing to spend?

1 Major thing... will be wiring and as shaun (daewooluvr) will surely tell you... the ecu will be the major problem with any engine swap....
If you want my honest opinion (i'm taking a bigger route) just get forged internals in the 1.6... and wait till xmas... Chevy's coming out for a supercharger for the Aveo... Since the Aveo is pretty much a lanos in a newly designed chassis, that supercharger (as far as i know) will drop in the lanos. Then any aftermarket parts pretty much readily available for an Aveo will/should fit a lanos.
