Should I keep it????

Post by DaewooDriver »

Hi Everyone,

I need some opinions. I have a 2002 Lanos with 46000 miles on it. I purchased it used with about 7000 miles. I love to drive it, I'm in outside sales and depend on my car. I'm trying to decide whether to put some money into it, timing belt, water pump, tires etc., or get rid of it. I have replaced the brake pads and rotors, and just replaced fuel filter, plugs and wires, and it runs great.

My concern is that parts are awfully hard to come buy locally, and I wonder if anyone out there has a higher milage (100,000 miles +)car that has given them good service without making the broke in the process.

Thanks for your help.

You can always order parts online cheap. www.gm-car-parts.com for instance. I say keep it, they're good cars.

You won't find a better quality over price in any other vehicle... other than a civic and subaru's because they have High resale values.

Keep it. Lanos don't spend to much gas. And if you work as a saleman you dont want to waiste money on gasoline.

All car need some toneups....some times.

Don't know if I can say this for every Lanos, but I have a '99 Lanos Sedan with 178, 000 miles (Two job delivery vehicle) and it still drives like a dream, to the point where I have just begun performance upgrades. Maybe I just got lucky but I would be confident saying your car still has a lot of life left in it. :D
