Ethanol on Espero

need your help guys, especially those with Esperos

here in the Philippines, all gas vendors are now changing their basic unleaded gasoline to a 10% ethanol mixture. I need to confirm if it's ok for my Espero. Else, i will be forced to use a higher octane gasoline (which of course is more expensive)

Hi,
Take the following info with care. It's from the Leganza service manual. Anyway here in Belgium petrol may have maximum 5% ethanol without mandatory notification at gas station...

So it's 10% max.
by the way, for what year model is this leganza manual? My espero is '97. is it safe to say that the info can also apply to my espero?

I don't have model year, sorry. That was a manual gathered on the web. Others Daewoo manuals don't even refer to ethanol.

GM Daewoo does not recommend the use of ethanol blended petrol.

I wouldn't risk my car after reading this .

i actually saw that info already however i'm still thinking that it might be just referring to newer models of Daewoo, since it specified "GM" Daewoo.

That's why i tried to post a question here and see what info i could get. I think i may choose to believe your manual (less expense for me : )
