2.0L 8V/16V parts as well as 1.6L 16V performance part
I was just on the LT3 engine site ( ) and I noticed a post by Stefan about a german company that makes performance parts for the older 16V and 8V engines.
I'm not sure if any of the Opel parts can be used in the Daewoo 16V engines (since they are different heads)
Here is a main link in German....
http://www.imotecgmbh.de/Suchwortverz_/ ... verz_.html
Here is the part about the 8V cams, lifters, springs ect...
http://www.imotecgmbh.de/Leistungsteile ... -opel.html
There are also parts for the 1.6L engines as well.

Oh.... and here is the web page I like to use to translate...
http://babelfish.altavista.com/
Just go onto the german site.... copy the address and then paste it into the "Translate a Web Page" section of the above site.
It will ask you which language to translate from so you hit german to english.... it's not perfect but it gives some meanings.

GsiTurbo..... they have dual springs for the 8V motor !!!
http://www.imotecgmbh.de/Leistungsteile ... feder.html
They also have some strengthened rocker fingers
http://www.imotecgmbh.de/Leistungsteile ... hebel.html
They also talk of cam profiles that optimize the 6200 to 8800 RPM range.
So I'm assuming by this that they are managing over 8800RPM with the dual valve springs on the 8V !!!
This site not only lets us see the parts but it lets us know that others are allready doing what we only wish!

They also have various phased kits to improve the power of each engine.
They list the C20NE and C20SEH as the two 2.0L 8V engines
http://www.imotecgmbh.de/PS-Bausatze/ps-bausatze.html
I'm not familiar with the C20SEH... does anyone know much about it?
On this link they also list the 1.6L 8 valve C16NZ & X16SZ under small block engines and the 16S as a big block engine
I wonder which catagory the A16DMS and A15SMS fall into (small block or big block )..... it also has a link for the 16V X16XE but they don't say if it's a small block or a big block Opel engine.
The "Phase V" X16XE engine is running at 174HP
http://www.imotecgmbh.de/PS-Bausatze/16 ... eco-z.html
Wow..... the Altavista Babelfish program changed the european power ( PS ) into horsepower on the translated page.... cool..... now I don't have to figure out the conversion.

I guess I answered my own question.... on the X16XE upgrade page I clicked on self serve 16V parts and it directed me to a page that said 16V small block.
I'm guessing the A16DMS (Lanos USA) and A15SMS (Lanos Hatch Canada and elsewhere) are the same small block as the X16XE
Here is the link to the 1.6L 16V parts....

Some of the other parts available for the 1.6L 16V engine are:
Adjustable Camshaft pullies ( a pair for 198 )
http://www.imotecgmbh.de/Leistungsteile ... rader.html
Here is the link for double valve springs (so that you can increase your RPM levels)
http://www.imotecgmbh.de/Leistungsteile ... feder.html
Here are the aluminum valve seats (they call them valve spring plate) which will decrease the weight of the valve train (allowing for higher RPM)
http://www.imotecgmbh.de/Leistungsteile ... eller.html
If you are on this link..... http://www.imotecgmbh.de/Leistungsteile ... 6vs-t.html
It also shows forged pistons and rods for the 16V small block (which should fit the Lanos 1.6L ) as well as replacement valves, head gaskets, tappets, multiple camshafts, flywheels and a pile of other parts

Those are some great news for the 1.6 guys!!!
yes the A16/A15 are small block engines!
im at work (9:26pm) so i dont really have enough time to look at all parts...
Have you email them Erfinder asking about the pricing (euro)?

The credit is all to Stefan even though he only posted this on the LT3 forum
I guess I should spend more time on the LT3 site to keep up to date with everything those guys are finding.
Anyway you look at it these German guys are Opel engine specialists and they will even do custom work if you want (custom rods, cranks ect )

No but I would imagine it's in Euros because Germany has been on board the EUROtrain for a few years now.Efrain A. wrote:Have you email them Erfinder asking about the pricing (euro)?
I deal with companies in Belgium and Germany on a very regular basis and the transition from DM to EURO was about a year to a year and a half ago.
Right now the $1 Euro = $1.23 USD
That is to say that you would multiply any of the Euro amounts by 1.23 to get the value in $USD
The shipping from Germany is surpisingly not that bad due to the large volume of cargo moving back and fourth between Germany and Canada/USA.
I would have to say that a group purchase would make more sense but we would have to verify parts to make sure they are compatible. ( for example.... dual valve springs for the 2.0L 16V .... a comparison of size between the T20SED (nubira) U20SED (lacetti) and the C20XE needs to be made before we can say if they will fit)

I was a little confused about the PS to HP conversion so I found out this is the realations ship:
1 pferdestarke ( ps ) = 0.9863200706231885 horsepower ( hp )
1 horsepower ( hp ) = 1.0138696654202403 pferdestarke ( ps )
So 174 ps is converted by multiplying by 0.98632 = 171.6 hp
As such my numbers for the horsepower I showed above are wrong.
Phase I = 130 ps = 128 hp ( KIT $966 USD )
Phase II = 140 ps = 138 hp ( KIT $1691 USD )
Phase III = 154 ps = 152 hp ( KIT $2860 USD )
Phase IV = 163 ps = 161 hp ( They install kit for $5251 USD )
Phase V = 174 ps = 172 hp ( They install kit for $7657 USD )
The prices are high but atleast you know the X16XE is capable of over 170 horsepower in a naturally aspirated form.
Perhaps we can bug Wolf-Spirit over there in Belgium to find someone who can speak German (since I'm assuming he speaks French)

It looks like the company is in Coesfeld which is north of Dusseldorf towards the border of the Netherlands.
I've been to Haan (close to Dusseldorf) and then driven into Belgium to Fleurus which is on the A15 south east of Charleroi.
It should only take about 2 hours but the guy driving us was an idiot... he got lost at least three times! All he had to do was follow the signs to Aachen at the German/Belgian border.... I think it took us nearly 4 hours.
Where in Belgium are you from Wolf-Spirit ????
From Coesfeld to Brussels is about 3 hours ( it's 305 km )
One of the guys I know over in Belgium drives back and fourth between Haan and Fleuris in his BMW at nearly 180km/h.... and yet he's never been pulled over for speeding.
Perhaps we could convince you to take a "road trip" with someone who speaks German.
I'm sure we could make it worth your time to drive there pick up the parts, drive back and send them to one of us here in north america.
Let me know what you think

Hi, sorry for not posting that on here. I only looked at the stuff for the 2.0 OHC and didn't explore the rest of the site
The uprated follower for the 2.0 OHC looks exactly the same as my Kent Cams CF20 heavy duty followers. They probably are tbh, though I bet they're cheaper from Germany
Stef
ps a company in the UK has tuned the X16XE to 230hp in N/A form!
