Oil Pan Gasket

When removing and installing the oil pan, do you use either a solid gasket or a liquid gasket or do you use both. Thanks

usually solid gasket with a bit of liquid gasket maker... don't use too much of the liquid stuff or else it will fall into the oil sump and clog the oil pump
