Lanos cams

Post by Rodd1s »

does anyone know whether the lanos 1.3 and 1.5 (a13sm & a15sms) cams are the same?

i know pretty much evrything else in these 2 engines are the same with the exception of the crankshaft and conn. rods... but was just curious to see if maybe the 1.5 cam can be used to upgrade the 1.3 lump.

AFAIK they are the same

just get the conn. rods and crank off the 1.5 and stroke your 1350CC engine

moin,

not the same. the stroke for the exhaust valves is with 6,12 mm the same.
1.3 intake: 5,61 mm
1.5 intake 6,12 mm

i think, you can use the 1.5 camshaft in a 1.3 engine. but i have no facts about valve timing and overlapping. how mutch it will bring....?

I am using 1.6 lanos camshaft, crankshaft, piston, clutch kit on my 1.4 aveo. But I sent the camshafts to uk for a regrind to 285 duration. It works perfect becos after regrind, the original higher than aveo camshaft lift become almost same lift (still higher) but with longer duration. Now my aveo gain quite some horse with higher compression pistons and stroked crankshaft from 1.6 lanos. With lighten flywheel from opel, its even more fun. Its NA fun.
