Hey, i own a 1998 Daewoo Cielo, havent owned it that long but know that i am not getting as many Km's out of a full tank of gas as i should.
ok the problem mainly starts on cold starts, it goes through a third of a tank just on cold start then seems to hold out a bit longer. but just today i was stuck in traffic cause of a accident and when i was passed and got to open it up a bit more then 360km/h i looked at the cluster to see the engine warning light to be on, and pulled ova to have a look once i pulled ova the light switched itself off, now it seems to use more fuel then it did before. ive been to a couple of mechanics to see if they have any ideas and ive been told that the O2 sense might be the problem.
another wierd thing is when i fill the tank right up i can sort of smell fuel in the car and the fuel seems to hold out a little bit long(too the fuel gauge anyway) but goes down even quicker after about 30kms.
im a mechanic myself but still only first year. so i have a fair idea on what to look at but cant see a thing. any ideas would be good. before i put it into a garage to get work done and spend a fortune.
Over use of Fuel

over use of fuel is either due to leak (smell of gas and\or dripping) or too much consumption due to faulty O2 sensor or leaking injectors
