I have not seen one decent crash test for a deawoo! they all say very poor protection.... no matter how good of a driver you are you cant avoid a drunk who swirves into you doing 60 mph head on....

hehe you know i still find this funny as hell ... but in EU standerd daewoo is a good crash car... well some are cant really recal lanos though... but its yust that the crash test difer from US and EU
tbh i dont care i have seen some crashes and most where rather big whitout human injuries.... my dad did full frontal in a daewoo leganza once... spinned 180? and he had nothing.
Got a lanos in back that went of road in a ditch catapulled out of ditch hit a pole and did a couple of spins then hit a building... also nothing to the driver
tbh crashes dont depend on the car (ok some are really weak yes but genaraly looking at daewoo we have a very steady body) it depends more on how you react the split second before you hit. And if you really dont feel safe... build a rolcage in your car
(looks nice also
)

I dont fear for my safety so much, I drive a little CRX and or Rabbit every day and have had my share of crashes
. I was gonna buy a Leganza tomorrow, as a family car for wife and son, but am comcerned for them. All the crash test show major passenger compartment penetration as a result of a crash
.

Well, my Leganza has held up VERY well to hitting a car head on in the side of the other car, hitting a deer @ 60mph and getting rear ended when I was stopped.
The car took very little damage in all cases and looks like new again with the replaced or repaired body parts.
I've had no problems at all.

I drove an '02 Lanos into the back of a van, too. The front crumpled nicely but the passanger compartment sustained NO damage at all. The car has since been repaired and is back on the road.
Maybe I shouldn't drive at all. LOL
Next vehicle purchase: '05 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 4.7L V8 with the towing package ... I wonder how that will hold up against a deer..... LOL
