Flex pipe size on a 2001 Nubira (replacement)

The flex pipe on my wife's 2001 Nubira has separated and the exhaust is hanging. I looked up a direct OEM style replacement and it comes to $1500 (!!!). I need to toss a universal on there but aside from cutting it off and further disabling the vehicle in the mean time, I have no means of measuring it. Does anyone know the inside or outside diameter of the pipes going in and out of the flex pipe so I can just toss a universal unit on there? Thank you in advance for your help.
