new o2 sensor

Post by woodae »

i got a ntk o2 sensor for my car but there is no ground, there is on the casing but not on the wire, is that ok, my car is runing way different, better power in high rpm but it bogs in low rpm, i decided to finally put my ait sensor in the intake, i just had it sitting in the engine bay because there was no hole in the intake? and both my oxygen sensors are for a 1.6l and i have a 1.5l are they the same could that be my problem? should there be a ground on one of the wires

i striped my new o2 sensor so i put the old one in with out hooking it up hooked up the new one and tied it to the exhaust, wrong move it was thinking it was running too hot, so i moved it to a cold place and the gas milage improved a bit and way more power, will this harm anything? i know i might be running lean but its sooo cold right now.

i can't afford gas right now so this is a short term fix, should the oxygen sensor have a ground

I fitted a NTK O2 to my 1.4 lanny (there good sensors). According to the ntk specs it's the same part no. fitted across the range.
