thermostat and fuel filter question

newp. only the door light and the CEL were on. oil light is off as was everything else.

no smoke out the exhaust either.

made that same noise when my spark plug wire went kaput. but im not sure thats it.

Really don't know what to tell you. Hopefully it is just a simple fuel or ignition problem (such as a bad fuel fitler). Check the forum tomorow and you should get a good answer. Here is mmamdouh's guide to replacing fuel filters http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2679. If that doesn't help, mmamdouh or another user could probably be more specific later today. I hope your car doesn't need major repair.

is it me or does the engine knock?? the revving is quite smooth so i don't suppose the fuel and ignition got something wrong.

did you check the oil?? is it black and smell burned? does it have metal parts in it?... i don't want to scare you but suck knocking is usualy a crank bearing or so... please check you oil and tell us how it looks.

i thnk the engine may be kaput and a greater problem is present. looks like ill be selling this car for parts then. 15k on the tranny, ill sell it for 800$ you come take it out and haul it!

Well, make sure its gone first before you go off and sell it. Your car is a Lanos right? My engine blew and I got a good replacement from the company LKQ here in the Dallas area for $500. Is the tranny a 5 speed? I might be interested.

aye, 5speed tranny. honestly. i dont even want to deal with it. the integra gives me enough shit, i dont need this one giving me shit also. i thnk i might just switch over to all honda/acura at this point. trannys never been grinded or abused. ill compile a parts list and get back to you guys.
