oh thats how come my damn car ran like crap but u mean not the bottom resonator u mean the one on the top? or does the box on top do other stuff... do u recommend me upgrading to cold air or leavin it short ram... some mechanic before told me he wouldnt do cold air because the water would wreck the engine
I would keep it short ram, my friend has CAI and he drove through just a little water and screwed up his engine bad. The SRI from weapon-r that i have on my leganza performs very well.

question tho... do u only have 1 tube connecting to ur cold air... the breather tube?

ya there is only one tub connecting to it. I think it can be replaced by one of those small breather filter things.

but on the stock box theres 3 to 5 more tubes connected to the tube... u pulled 15 on the quarter... 15... goin to switch to straight through then redo the short ram... how much more performance did u have when u installed better spark plug wires?... how does ur exhaust sound with the bosal?

Some feedback on this.

We tested short-ram intake on Aveo, and with UD pulley it developed less power than a full CAI. I suspect this would be similar situation here. All it comes down to is air temperature (this setup will tend to suck hot air from the engine compartment), and air speed.

Also, the 90 degree coupler on top of the throttle body will introduce quite turbulence = less air speed = less power. I would go back to the drawing board and use proper reinforced 90 degree rubber bent (they are pricey, however), and extend the intake.

Just my 5 cents.

The spark plug wires helped me because on of the originals was messed up, and my bosal exhaust is awsome.

converted to cold air... much better than short ram... doesnt bog like before after long driving... theres some splash guard so when u drive on some puddle it wont wet the filter much... much better than short ram... does 40 to 80+ faster on steady acceleration... before on short ram from 40 to 80 u have to put on more gas...
