if its like australia, technically an intake is illegal if it isnt boxed or has some kind of shield around it, that could be where you come unstuck

In CA everything must be DOT Approved and C.A.R.B. approved or else you aren't allowed to put it on.

You just have to get a few "approval" stickers and put them on each item that is aftermarket. I heard that's what they're looking for.

thats exactly what theyre looking for.... i was just at the state referee for automotive repair nd what not.... he even told me if i get my hands on afew of those stickers i would have no more problems....
