well thats what i mean by "melting" the actual glue part of it just going everywhere in your engine bay and possibly in your intake which means dead engine later on. and remember engines get a lot hotter than a heater or a/c.

Hmmm. recomendation.

There are some ruber elbow (dont know if this is the correct name) like the blue part that you use, if you buy one of thouse just cut the curve of the pipe so this get straight. Use hte elbow to atach this to the trottle. Then use the rubber part that you have to atach another pipe to complete a full cai.

The problem with our trothel is that it get very hight. I was thinking in the non v-tech dohc engine intake from civic 99.

He's saying to get this blue part it's at 90 degree angle. And modify it to fit your intake.

Also my friend had the same problem, so we just tilted the whole intake pipe down a bit and then tightened it. Remember it is RUBBER (blue thing) and you can tilt it at the throttle body a bit like this ( \ ) and then tilt the intake down and tighten it, I'm 100% positive it'll fit.

i know what you mean by bending it.. it wont work.

It might if i find something to hold down the intake.. but the rubber blue part is bent so much over time (especialy racing*heat*) ithink the rubber will get brittle where its bending cuz it has to bend ALOT.

If the setup with the '01 Civic intake doesn't go well :( , aaand if the CAI isn't too mangled from attempts to adjust it, aaaand if the guy refuses to take it back, I might buy it off of you to use on my Civic.

Other than that, good luck and I really do hope it works out to your advantage.

Kinkyllama:

It's amazing how everybody thinks that the Civic intake would fit. I don't think it will.

Advice: It won't look like the ones you see on an Auto Show, but you can use the original Nubira or Leganza intake. It's a black rubber. If you want to make it larger, you can add more but not using the one for Civic. Also, don't use duct tape. I don't advice it.

If you go to a junk yard, you can try to find the stock intake for Nubira o Leganza. There you''ll have the IAT already on it, and the hose that you'll need to put on the cover valve.

I can't distinguised from your pic if that's the hose that comes from the cover valve. If that is, then you can connect it to the Nubira intake. (Correction: the hose doesn't use oil).

If you decide to use the Nubira intake and have problem if the cable isn't too long, you can put a resistance (or a chip, like the one that are selling on EBay) and take advantage of getting more gasoline.

PS: It seems this will be a long post. :?

Any questiong, please let me know.
