Im not real car savvy, so im not sure how relevant this is but I found these links that name what models of cars are interference engines and out of the Daewoo cars the Lanos 1.5 SOHC isnt on here.

PS. In a way im surprised there isnt a more definite answer. You would think that there would be lots of ppl with a Lanos 1.5 SOHC engine that have snapped a Timing belt or broken a water pump and have posted here that have damaged there valves......... Also come to think of it on above links im sure there are Daewoos not listed that are interference engines (eg) matiz,

their is nothing more definitive than real life experience... i have seen 1.5 SOHC lanoses with valve damage due to broken T belts, and 3 or 4 weeks a go a friend of Bob3825 with a 1350 SOHC lanos had a broken belt and bent his valves.

Well it must have has a twin cam set up lol the 1.5 sohc has only one version here 1.5i used in early cielo (nexia) and lanos.. and theres a 2 litre version in the espero. 1.4 versions are used in the opel kadet and on an on. the belt goes and they will not bed valves just ask all the happy customers in the cars poweed by these sohc motors...? how tight is my timing belt meant to be on nubira 1.6 im constantly checking and stressing over it is it ok to have a lil bit of play inbetween the cam pulleys? this will tighten out when to the engine is started i think it may be the cam wheels rolling towards one another on certain positions the engine is stopped in
