timing belt replacing?

Post by sheepdizildawg »

when doing the job, do I really need the J-42492 tool? I dont have the $110 to spend on the tool, cheaper to go get it done.

or you can use a standard issue 42mm wrench but that will require two things:

1- removal of the bottom plastic timing belt cover to make space for the wrench

2- installation then removal then installation for the timing belt to adjust the tension, put back the lower plastic case then reassemble every thing back respectively

it is a bit effort and time consuming but it works perfictly
