FINALLY!!
The timing was WAY off. My buddies said they could almost get the belt to jump a tooth with there bare hands. I can't believe the belt didn't come off or shred all together. I have a spare timing belt but I want to replace the rollers and related parts just to be sure. If this doesn't fix all the problems then I give up. We got the wideband bung on there and a kill switch for the battery since we never found out what was draining it.

Now...how the hell did this happen? My car runs fine, I bring it into a shop with a bunch of daewoo hating assholes to put in my F28 and then it's running like crap. Think they purposely sabotaged my car or could this be some sort of coincidence?[/b]

Probably an issue with your tension as opposed to your belt.... hopefully you get things sorted out.

Do you still need the info on the timing?

No we haven't. I'm not sure if they've even gotten the belt yet, it did get shipped out late. I won't be able to pick up my car till Tues and there's no reason it shouldn't be done by then.

Alright!

The car is up and running...has been running for awhile but my GF which has been out of town for a couple months came back to suprise me for a few days. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet but it does rev all the way through and they think it's making the power it should be. They couldn't say much about the power because all of their cars are 250whp+ so I'll have to wait and drive it. They should be dropping it off in several hours.

One thing they didn't get to fix though is the fans aren't turning on. There is no power getting to them. So what is it most likely a sensor? What exactly should I check? I told them to just leave that be because I have several spare sensors at my house that I'll play around with.

They also couldn't find whatever is draining the battery, but neither could a couple other shops so that's why the kill switch is on there. Wideband is on too so I'm interested to see the AFR and what my SMT-7 could give me before I go turbo.

your fan relay might be bad, have you checked them? i wonder if the relays are shorting out would that cause the battery to drain?

I switched them around about 8 months ago with other relays of the same type/size...this was when I first had the problem

Just hard-wire them to a switch in the cabin! Or, if you don't want to worry about it again, just run new wires from the ECU to the relay box to the fans. Either way shouldn't take more than a couple of hours.

+1 Thats what I did......... switch inside. But I never had a problem with them coming on, just wanted to have control of it.

I have a couple spare motors so I will be switching out some of the sensors that tell the fans to turn on. I really rather no put anymore switches in my car, I already have two but I do like the idea of being able to keep the fans on during a full track session. How much power do you guys think the fans draw, if any at all?

So my car is running pretty darn good. The low range is really good (suprised me with my exhaust), mid range is killer, but top end seams to be lacking slightly. I'm hoping that my car just needs to relearn itself with the new timing belt and everything. It stalls allot when going into neutral but is slowly happening less often the more I drive. I will be having my SMT7 installed in a few weeks or so and have it tuned mildly (cheaply) just to see what these cars can do N/A and get a better idea before and after dyno with the turbo system.

The car is only topping out at 115mph so I know it's lacking in the uppers RPMs. Before, with less whp I was able to hold 120mph through slight corners or up small hills with 5-6 people in the car and the A/C on. It'll hold 115mph in 5th or 6th gear as well but won't do much more. I also have a o2 bung wide open because I can't find my wideband sensor so that might be hurting power, but I'd think it wouldn't hurt high end, only lower end.
