2.0L vs 2.2L

Post by 78ScottsdaleK20 »

I have a 99 Leganza SE with a 2.2L engine. I just got my hands on a service manual for these Daewoo's. Problem is the service manual is for a DOHC 2.0L engine. I was looking for one on a 2.2L engine. Is the 2.0L engine the same as the 2.2L? Is all the data and information directly related and can be followed, ie. torque specs, diameters, measurements, capacities, etc...

I would imagine the 2.0L and the 2.2L are pretty close to the same, with the exception of sizes of some parts...It would be nice to have a service manual for the specific engine I have.

Does anyone know of a link for the 2.2L, or where one could be obtained?

Thanks,
Mike

I thik that they have the same bore, but not stroke. So they are pretty the same... Alto the 2.0L is better engine... 86*86mm...

2.0L vs 2.2L

So if I had the tech service manual for the 2.0L, I could basically follow that when working on the 2.2L and not get into too much trouble?

The 2.0L is better in what way?

because of the square bore and stroke 86mm
is good for high revs if only the valvetrain, cams and ecu could permit it

in stock mode ... 2.2L is better, more torque stronger bottom end
