Lanos Timing Belt Change

Post by Walters »

I have a '99 Lanos that I aquired this past summer and it's tine to change out the timing belt. I don't have the manuals yet to do the work but are on order. I would like to get started on the job this weekend. Anyone have any guidance for me on this project. My experiance is mostly with older Mercedes Diesels with a timing chain. On this Woo I have no idea how this belt is accessed etc. If some one has the time to explain the procedure or has a gallery with text that would be great. I may be up to 10 days before the book arrive.

lots of stuff in here regarding your questions, do searches and surf this forum for you answers.
By the time your manual arrives? You may be finished.
For instance? Search my name and read all the Q & A's I ask and received when I did my lanos t-belt change.

Click on this link, it's in the "How to" section.

Take you time do it right the first time. And don't forget the water-pump.
