Exhaust / Fuel Pump

Post by Scotty »

Hey guys,

Today i went to get a quote for twins (on either side) on my car. (exhausts i mean)
They had a look under my car and said it wasn;t possible to have a box on the right because the fuel pump was in the way.

Have any of you had this problem and how did u solve it? where can you relocate the pump to?

Cheers

Scott

The fuel pump is located inside the tank. The box underneath contains the evaporative emission canister. It collects the fuel vapours from the tank and sends the vapours to the inlet / cylinders to be burnt.

The box is the charcole canister and its possible to be removed and u can do a twin exhaust ive done it 2 my lanos hatch, i got pix posted on my cardomain page , just re-locate the box to inside of the trunk or hatch of the car and ur done .

as for the exhaust i ran a 4-2 header till the middle of the car then ran 2 pipes each 1.5' runnin till the back 2 each exhaust
