Diagnostic issues p0342, p0442, p1441

Post by clayd »

Ok so i just went and did my emissions test and was told i have these codes showing. P0342, P0441, and P1441.

In looking though the forums i am noticing that the P1441 relates to the camshaft sensor and i most likely need to replace it. Did this work for anyone?

for the P0441 and the P0342 i can figure out what i need to do.

I have a '01 nubira. Any help is greatly accepted.

Thanks

Welcome Clay,

P0342 relates to the camshaft sensor (CMP) and yours may have been dealer recalled.

Go here:
http://www.daewoous.com/Default.aspx
register, go to 'owners' than 'recalls' and type in your VIN number.

And yes, a P0342 has been cured by a new Camshaft Position Sensor.

P1441 relates to 'Evaporative Emissions'. Could be an evaporative canister purge valve problem?

P0442 also relates to Evaporative (canister) Emissions/vacuum 'small leak'. Maybe just a leaky gas cap?

I can't find a "P0441" code in the Factory Service Manual.

Hope this helps?

:)

I had P0342 in my 2004 Optra, and yes it was the camshaft position sensor that was failing.
