Yes another stupid air intake question
Was searching through the forum search, could not find the info I was looking for.
Was wondering if I was to get an CAI or a short ram intake for the Lanos,
if I go with the civic, would I have to get it the same year as my 2002 Lanos.
If going custom on makin it what parts would I need?
Any info would help.
And when I do make the intake, I will make a how-to with pics on it.

The silicone reducer is the little 'rubber' thing that connects the CAI to the throttle body.
Any cone filter will do.

Possibly, over time, a fouled oxygen sendor and/or a clogged catalytic convertor, which may make the check engine light come on.
But, what do I know? LOL

I have a chocolate chip, used once, and it is now back in it'd orrigional packaging.
The increase is noticable, but I'm not sure how much more HP you will actually see. I do know you will see a drastic drop in gas mileage when you are using it.
Get ready to start filling the tank more often.
I plan to make a dash mounted 2 way switch with my chocolate chip.
With the switch OFF, the stock AITS is connected normally.
With the switch ON, it will be running through the chocolate chip for more power when I want to use it.
To let me know it is on (more so I don't forget it is on), I will mount an LED somewhere (probably in the guage cluster) that will come on when the chocolate chip is in use.
That way, I can have the power of the chip when I want, and the good gas milage of stock for the rest of the time.

your engine light doesnt go on????
that aint right tbh normaly if its unplugged it should go on very soon, i know cause i tend to forget sensor when i change timingbelt

Ow also you engine should now be running on its emergency program... so it will use ALOT more gas

When I purchased the Civic Short Ram Intake, I cut sbout 6 inches of of it, sanded the chrome off, and painted it black with 1500 F Temp paint. It look awesome, but it has been in storage since install for one reason. The Daewoo sensor is too big for the Civic Sensor Port.
Does anyone know what diameter the holes needs to be to get that sensor to fit?

And yes, since I removed my sensor, my check engine light never came on....
