i posted a thread before, but no progress, how does the system work? the selenoid in the engine bay is fine is there one in the back by the gas tank, what does it do and how does it work??????? could that be my cel p0449? thanks guys

I really can't help you more than saying check/change EVAP valve near EVAP canister or change the canister. Check wiring continuity between ECM and EVAP valve(s). I don't know when the valve(s) should open. That's under ECM control.
Read through the Lanos service manual to know more about it.
