Error Codes on Daewoo Espero x20ned

hi, i hope anybody can help me whit this, a friend have a espero and the check engine light is on, how i can read the codes whitout an scaner. And if anybody got the code list. Thanks. btw the espero is automatic transmission.

what year of espero?

If it's the newer OBDII you will need to have the codes read by a shop.... if it's an older system there might be a way to trigger it so it flashes the check engine light in sequence to give you the error code.

If your system uses OBD1, you can ground the ALDL connector. This connection is in the diagnostic socket, often located in the kick panels. Color wire in most cases is white/black , but you should double check with the repair manual.
