I need a couple of Hydraulic Valve Lash Adjusters

Post by woohoo4u »

00' Lanos 1.6
Noticed a louder than normal ticking coming from the valve cover area and after removing the cover found that I had an adjuster go flat. (the upside down cup under the cam lobes). Just seeing if anyone has some extras laying around from a bad motor or something. New or used.
Please let me know my Woo is my wife's daily gas saver.
Thanks,

Hey Tim,

Sounds like you have lifter problems ?

Your hydraulic lifters are non-adjustable.

You really should get new ones, used hydraulic lifters from another engine could prove worse than the ones you have.
Have you tried an an e-bay search ?

Hydraulic lifters will last a long time if the oil and filter is changed at regular intervals.

Hope this helps ?
