In the service repar manual says to check if Coolant is getting into tha intake manifold,is this possible and if it is, how should i check that and what do i need to do to fix the problem.

The only way that i can think of to check if it is, is to take the manifold off/apart. but id say that there is an easier way and i just dn't have the answer for it.

Yes but ,is there a gaskuet that needs to be replaced or someting.Where would the water get in to the intake from???

on the 1.5 SOHC their is a coolant passage in the intake mani... if the gasket is cracked you can have an internal leak.

Mine is Lanos 1999 DOHC 1.6.Is it the same as 1.5 SOHC ???

no... the manifolds are different and i don't know if you have this coolant passage like me or not.

You'd have a serious issue if you have water in your 1.6L manifold...


The only place that coolant comes close to the manifold is the throttlebody, and it's not an open passageway, it's a closed loop with several mm of material between the passage way and the intake path.
