Hey everyone,
I tried the search but didn't find anything.
I've got a 99 Lanos, 1.5L SOHC. I'm a couple of hundred kilometres overdue for a timing belt, and want to know if anyone changed their water pump at the same time?
The parts dealer won't have any pumps in stock for two weeks, and I don't really want to push my luck with added mileage before the belt is replaced.
So, should I just go ahead and change the belt without worrying about the water pump? Has anyone had their water pump go on them? Any insight is appreciated.

hmm in US the still do it on 90.000km? fecking hell.... in EU atm we do 60.000KM on any daewoo as there is a high probability you wont make 90.000km specialy if you drive agressive. also if you do a 1.6 ALWAYS change the "err bearingwheels? dno name lol" and the tensioner as they are made from plastic and tend to crack before 120.000km. the 1.4 and 1.5 dont really need a new tensoiner cuase its a metal one.(unless it makes noise ofcourse"

My Leganza's water pump started leaking pretty badly at around 40,000 miles / 90,000km ... I didn't want to trust the timing belt any more than that, so I had the timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt and pulley tensioner all changed at the same time.
It is once again a happy car which I am using as my daily driver right now until I put new tires on my Lanos.
