PCI Timing belt kit

Post by NubiraDellwoo »

OK... I know everyone says get the OEM stuff or the Gates... I read the posts...

But I just wanted to know if anyone had run this stuff and if it was an issue for them... Not just the rehtoric
The Kit consists of the Belt, 2 Pulleys and the tensioner...

Now if the belts are really bad stuff... I suppose I could order up the OEM unit... and use the rest of the stuff...

If the thing will last another 40K... Well I'm sure something else will be wrong with the car by that time anyhow... LOL

Thanks if you know... good or bad...

Well... that has me feeling better for the Idlers and tensioner... Though I don't know what belt comes in this kit... I'm hoping it will be the Gates...

$ 159.00 shipped to my door for the 2 idlers, tensioner and belt was just too good in cost for me to pass up...

Thanks for yer input...

That's a positive note... thanks...

Just got mine in the mail...
The belt doesn't get me all that excited though...
Writing on it... "made in China to USA specs"
Tensioner as well...
And the pulleys say Slovakia...

Here's hoping it holds up to the rigors... LOL

Did you change out the water pump as well ?

yeah you might as well change the water pump at the same time b/c its the same amount of work to get to the water pump as it is to change the belts. that way you don't have to take everything off again if the pump goes.
