I took the screw out and slid the cover off. How do you get the filter out? I tried pulling on it with pliers but it wouldn't budge. Mine is a 99 Leganza and I never replaced this filter so it may be just stuck but i'm afraid to apply too much pressure.

Is there a special way to get it out? I can see it's on rails.

Seven years in place have stuck it. Half the way out you have to fold it up.
You will begin to breathe with the new one :D .
