Hp restrictions on daewoo nexia.. Please help!!!!
What can remove/change on a nexia 1.5 8v ohc to increase engine power... i know that of course i could tune up the engine in many ways...
BUT.... is there anything specific that holds the engine back... like something with the intake, ignition or whatever???????????????

OPEL POWER
if you have an intake resinator then taking that out will free up power. it would be in the passenger fender well. heres a link for the how -to.

Thanks
Im very interested in a "sport" exhaust manifold... but dont know were to buy... Think i?ll try the resonator... Thanks
moin,
buy something from the kadett E. you only have to change the flange at the catalyst. the kadett was build with 3 hole, the nexia need a 4 hole flange.
i drove a bastuck group A at the 1,5 8V 75 HP sound.
you need power, change the engine. ich drive a 2,0 from opel with 150 HP. i wrote with one from denmark, but he find no way to certificate it streetlegal.

Exhaust System??????
so a mainfold will fit from a kadett E??? what about the rest of the system... can i use it all??? and do a direct swap?? engine change is a bitch in denmark... we are restricted by law... no more power increase than 20% by ccm and hp is legalnorman wrote:moin,

moin,
the complete exhaust system will fit after the catalyst. only the flange at the cat is different 3 and 4 hole. maybe you need a holder (fit to the muffler) at the end. no big deal. i talk about a group A system with 63,5mm pipe diameter.
if you only take a standard tuning muffler (only the last part) from the kadett, it should fit 1:1. but you have to buy one for the 1,3-2,0 8V kadett and compatible to your carbodyversion. the 2,0 16v has a larger pipe diameter (55mm?? something like that), so you need a part to reduce to your pipesize (50mm??).
i don?t have the email addresse from the guy i wrote with. his name was lars Ringsted. maybe you find him in a danish tuning-forum. if you find him, nice greeting from norman, maybe he remember me.
in germany we have similar probs with the law, but we said: where a will, there also a way

Hi,
First sign of light at the end of my performance exhaust tunnel...
Very, very interested in what you have to say here...
A 4 branch manifold from an 80's Opel Kadett, aka Vauxhall Astra (series II), will fit on a Nexia, (16v), with slight modification?
Please do tell more, what would I need to either do or get done?
Damn, probably no one checking this thread as it's been some time since it was posted/added to?! but I'll keep wishing...
