Gas Recirculating Valve (Chris, Tom, Efrain, MMamdouh) help!
Hey guys,
Do our Lanos' have a Gas Recirculating Valve hole in the center of the manifold plate that fits to the face of the head?
The reason I'm asking is because I want to buy a header for a Corsa B 1.6L 16valve (x16xe)... looks almost identical.
Thanks a lot.

I'm just getting a quote for now. I found the header for 180 GBP, which is $332... so with shipping it should be $400-450... which isn't that bad.Brian5475E wrote:Yes it does. I hope your not buying it from UK or your gannoa pay like 500 just for the header. did you contact performancestylingcentre.com.au ?
And no, I didn't contact performancestylingcentre.com.au... I'll check out that site, what do they have?
Thanks!
Ok, thanks Tom.
Brian, do you have information on that header?

well... for the EGR ports on the 16 valve header it is more like an extension on the flang at the coil pack side with the exhaust passage drilled to the head itself in a "tunnel" shape so the header got no actual ports rather than a flat extension, the actual passage in in the head itself.
basicly if you are going to get that header anyways you can block that passage somehow and bypass the whole EGR circuit a s it is only their for emissions purposes.
i don't have pics to illustrate what i said as i am at work but i will try to post pics when i am back home.

I'll just have a shop install this header for me, but thanks. Hopefully they'll know what to do, cause I definately don't have the tools to either weld it or cut it...Brian5475E wrote:forgot to mention that when you get the DVE header you need to cut that small grove for the egr on the flange. it's no biggie. just use your gasket and trace , then use a dremel tool like I did and remove about 1/8 deep
