so... since the Chevy Aveo engine is basically the same as the US Lanos under the hood, would using an Aveo PCM help the acceleration? I have driven an Aveo and it at least feels much quicker than the Lanos. BTW I have an automatic and so did the Aveo.

first off the Lanos aint really the aveo engine as its a moddified version... aveo is actualy the daewoo kalos and normaly are enterly the same engine and mapping.
you wont get the comp from aveo to fit if you have a euro 2 version(1 cat below car) cuase those are enterly difrent comps... not sure about a euro3 but i dont think its possible nor will it help.... besides bring it in for a chiptuning if ya want hp?

It should be a little faster due to the weight difference
Manual Aveo --> 2343lbs
Automatic Aveo --> 2359lbs
Horsepower: 103@6000rpm
Torque: 107@3600
0-60: 10.4 seconds ( motorweek)
1/4 mile: 17.9@76mph
Daewoo Lanos
sedan 2522 lbs
hatch 2447 lbs
Horsepower: 105@5800
Torque: 107@3400
0-60: 11.7 seconds (Edmunds)
Given the Aveo makes less power you would end up having a slower Lanos if you could swap the ECU
