Thinking of installing a 2.0 in my lanos need some info

Post by Wolf-Spirit »

Hai,

Its like this couple of weeks ago a wreck of a leganza came in its a total loss meaning i can use parts from it  So i was thinking of putting the engine in my lanos.

-Now my question is will it fit (though i heard it would) and wich engine mounts can i best use (any that would fit whit no adjustment?)

-Also the tranny is a automatic wich i dont want to use.. will my lanos 1.6 tranny fit? or do i need something else?

-Electronics? Will they fit? Do i need to replace the entire lanos engine wiring or can i use em and make some wires longer? As for the computer both are ITMFS-6 so can i yust swap em?

Hope someone can help me on this cuase a 2.0 lanos sound nice to me :)

Ok.... your in Belgium so you have the oportunity to use an engine mount from a 2.0L Astra/Kadette ( MKIII )

You will however have to make something up to mount your accesories since the engine mount that will directly mate a 2.0L/2.2L to a Lanos is under the mount for the A/C.

You could use the accessory mounts from the Astra to make things work for you since they mount in a different position and allow for the use of the front engine mount.

The tranny should mate up but I'm not 100% sure since it's a Leganza.
