Feasible? Recommended?

Post by SoCalLove »

Hi,

I'm going to be purchasing a new daily driver soon and have been recently been looking at the early 90's Pontiac Lemans. Eventually I would like to make it into a fun little daily driver by performing handling modifications and something to give the car a little more power. My goal is to break into the 14's in the 1/4 mile.

So, do you guys think that I could break into the 14's in the 1/4 on the stock motor or would an engine swap be necessary? I'm not super familiar with the Lemans but I'd just like to get a general idea of what I might be getting myself into. I've been thinking that it shouldn't be too hard because of the weight but what do I know. So, do you think 14's is a feasible goal without an engine swap? If so, would I be able to stay NA or would it have to be FI?

Thanks guys.

Edit: Oh yeah, if this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move it moderators. Sorry.
