Aveo Engine Swap

Post by PoTsUrFrIeNd »

I am new to this site and was wondering if an engine swap was available for the aveo w/ the 1.6L at all?

Considering that the Aveo has the same engine setup as the Lanos, the 2.0 and the 2.2 from the Nubira and Leganza "should" work. If you get more adventurous, you can go for the C20GET or C20LET swap, but since the Aveo's engine bay is so small, any major swap would be a major pain.

Would there be any major modifications involved with this swap? I ask because I am in the process of talking to a local performance shop that I would like to give this info to in order to mod my car.

read there... same thing applies to you (aveo and lanos have the same engine and basically the same engine bay)
