I know for a FACT that SRI pipe is custom made (not sure if its by K&N themself though) and is NOT in production... many people have talked to people from Suzuki and K&N and always get the same answer. I think K&N wouldnt sell one for the car unless we could get some 100 pre-buys.
Why dont you just get the one from 360dynamics?

But 100 pre-buys is not nearly possible. I doubt you could get 10. I know about 10 people that recently got intakes so pretty much everyone with a Forenza that wants one has already gotten one and most people want CAIs over SRI.
Get a 90degree bent on ebay and buy an intake from another civic and put it on. Just look at the pics to make sure it'll work

I have a 01-04 Honda Civic CAI setup that will fit almost perfectly on the Reno/Optra setup. I have not installed it as yet because of it being winter and all, but I have seen one installed and it looks almost like it was designed for the car. No need for an extra elbow at the TB, as the pipe has the bend in it already.
cold air intake
what exact cold air intake for the 01-04 civic was it?

Re: cold air intake
BMS has a CAI out made for our car. Go to google and type in 'boshart motorsports' and click on B-motto site.phatslaya wrote:what exact cold air intake for the 01-04 civic was it?

If you live in a region where it gets warm in the summer, I would recommend doing a CAI setup. I did a SRI and it was fine for the winter months, but as soon as it started warming I noticed loss of power due to the heating of the air in the engine bay.
The only sure fire way around this while keeping an SRI, would be to build some kind of heat shield. That, would be up to you to design though.
