the reason why a M/T will rev to the top rev-limiter and the auto won't is simple... when the auto is in park, the torque converter still spins and still creates pressure inside the housing. now how smart would it be to build a ton of pressure on an impeller with nothing to act on... you would bend or break your torque converter in a matter of days :shock:
