CHECK ENGINE LIGHT! ANNOYING!
I keep getting the Check Engine Light comming on. The thing is, It comes on during hot days and turns off on cold days. I been told its either the catalyst going bad, the cam timing senor, or the gas cap. The gas cap is tight, very tight, the catalyst Im not sure about, Cam Timing sensor could be but why would weather affect it? Where would the CTS be and how can it be replaced? Need help ASAP! thanks
Also to Mention...
My Radiator Reserve is over the max line, I'm wondering if that is causing the problem as well not sure....

1) Try a new gas cap. My ex had a leaking seal on a gas cap, so no matter how tight it was on, it still leaked so the check engine light kept coming on.
2) Possibly an oxygen sensor going bad.
3) Possibly the catalytic convertor going bad (which could lead to the oxygen sensor going bad) If you find you need to change the catalytic convertor, you will most likely need to change the oxygen sensor, too, as the sensor can get clogged from the clogged catalytic convertor. Once the convertor is changed, and the sensor is not, the sensor can make too much fuel dump into the intake, leading to the catalytic convertor getting clogged again. It is a vicious circle of one making the other go bad.
4) It could be as simple as your car hating you and does not want you driving it. Make sure you love your Daewoo and it will love you back.
5) The cam timing sensors are a known problem on the Daewoos, so there is a good possibility that is the problem.
Good luck, and if you have any questions about anything, we will be more than happy to help in any way we can.

Probably not, if there is too much coolant, there is an overflow.Jensin wrote:My Radiator Reserve is over the max line, I'm wondering if that is causing the problem as well not sure....
