Lanos 1.5 SOHC Head Gasket Replacement

I was just wondering does anyonw know the torque settings for the 1.5 lanos sohc. Also if anyone has a step by step guide for removal it would help, otherwise i will just attempt it myself. But i need to know the torque settings.

check the general section for a post (it's a sticky) about the lanos repair manual. it covers both the 1.6 dohc and the 1.5 sohc and includes all the torque specifications for all the bolts on the car.

I downloaded the manual but i am not sure what exactly are the torque settings or how to read it.

It says

Cylinder head bolts (Camshaft Support Housing & cylinder Head Mounting Bolts)
NSm Lb-Ft Lb-In
25 18
+60_ +60_ +60_ +60_ -
+60_ +10_ +60_ +10_

The measurement I would like to use on my torque wrench is Lb-Ft.

it's 18 lb-ft as you listed up there... the +60 mess is meant for those that use an 'angular' torque guage (the way you're actually supposed to put the daewoo together, though it doesn't matter). if you use an angular wrench... it's the degree measures you are supposed to use.

thanks for that. I am surprised that the head is so little torqued like compared to the crank pulley. I will try and take photo's on the weekend and create a step by step guide for removing the head on a 1.5 sohc.

Does anyone know where i can get the timing belt adjuster tool from? Only price i got was $210 AUD and i may aswell pay a company to take the head off and reinstall it for me for $300. Any help guys would be great. Thanks

i saw it on ebay but it is insanly expensive... you can use a wrench size 42mm to do the job though.

I beleive it is a 41mm crows foot will do the same thing, they are just very expensive to my understanding.
