Replacement Motor Probs (FIXED)

Post by gurugirl »

Hi

I recently drped a timing belt on a sohc 1.5l
I bent sime valves so I got a replacement motor from the wreckers as a alternative (someone owed me a favour)

Anyway the motor idles, but top speed is about 110kmh. The car sounds very lumpy when idling...

Any ideas, blocked injectors?

Samantha

FIXED:
Checked the spark plug layout on the website and realised the mech put 2 around the wrong way!
Now I have my bussy back!

Samantha
Regards

Can you provide more details???

What is the colour of the exhaust gases?? (black/blue/white/none)
When you open the bonnet, aka hood, do you hear any hissing sounds (leaking vacuum)
Is your check engine light on?
What was done to the new motor before it was installed?
