When installing the chip, would it just replace the sensor or put in parallel?

I like the idea of the on/off switch. I travel to work long distance and wouldn't like the chip to be active during that time because it uses enough fuel as it is!

If I did install the chip with a switch would it not mess the engine up if i switch it on during motion? Just a bit concerned if the ECU will get confused.

the chip replaces the sensor in function not in location so you get to keep the sensor in its place which will be handy in case yuo decided to go with the switch idea.

as for the ECU; i don't think it will freak out when it sees some 20C drop in temp. so i recon it will be safe.
