headers problem

Post by casey »

i just threw in my 4-2-1 headers on my 2001 lanos hb and a problem came about.
my headers come too far towards the front, so far infact that i had to remove one of my radiator fans. my question is, will this cause some serious problems if i only run 1 radiator fan?

if you got 2 fans then you got an A/C, one fan can't handle that.

some people get a low profile radiator fan and some others mount the fan in fron of the A/C cooler for space issues when installing a turbo... maybe you can do the same.

A bit off-topic, but where'd you get the header from?

The one I ordered from sharkracing (quite a while ago)... also got the last one, or they made it seem that way (for a Lanos)... did not fit. It didn't curve around the oil pan like the stock one did, so I had to send it back to them....

Hmmm... is your car automatic? What year?

why the hell doesn't that "last" one get sold?? something doesn't smell right, if sharkracing clames are right and this is the last one then it is the one that didn't fit in Acing's car... i wonder how it did fit in casey's car.

yo casy; can you upload some pics of that header you got??

Yes, pics would be great, then I can identify if the header was mine or not. Also, is your car auto? 1.6l? Did it curve around the oil pan?

pics please!!

thanks!

If everything works out, and I hope it does, then it could be just an issue between auto vs 5spd.... but pictures will tell.
